Hands on Activity Experiment

1. Watch the video "Carbon dioxide test" under the "Experiments" Tab found on the right hand side of the page.
2. Read the instructions and do an experiment (Test for Carbon dioxide) in your groups of 5, with your teacher facilitating the process.
   Objective: Does burning give out carbon dioxide?
3. Summary and consolidation by teacher.

Group Work

1. You will be assigned one of these topics to research on:  
   Group X (register number)

• Causes of Deforestation: Grp 1 (1-5), Grp 2 (6-10)
• Effects of Deforestation: Grp 3 (11-15), Grp 4 (16-20)
• Causes of Global Warming: Grp 5 (21-25), Grp 6 (26-30)
• Effects of Global Warming: Grp 7 (31-35), Grp 8 (36-40)

     2. Click on the task which you are assigned to do on the right hand side. 

     3. In that page, there will be few links which you can access in guiding you during
         research

• Note: Links provided to you should be sufficient for your research.

    4. Illustrators can find images from yahoo search engine or videos from you tube.

    5. Leaders, please ensure that your group completes the task in 10 minutes time.
        Leader should also help in the research.

    6. Each time a researcher found an information, report it to the editor.

    7. Editor should post any information given by the researcher. Edit your entry to make 
        sure that ideas flow.

    8. At any point of time, you may refer to the Chapter 7.2 video above.
